Bram Chardon reclaims title at FEI Driving World Cup Finale – 🇬🇧
Dutchman Bram Chardon just won the FEI Driving World Cup championship at the Leipziger Messe in Germany. With help of his four horses Kendi, Favory Farao, Dreef Inca and Dreef Kapitany, his sister Lianne Chardon as his navigator and Maurits Hallo in the back, Chardon reclaimed his 2019 title.
In brilliant fashion he managed to beat the nine-time winner and title defender Boyd Exell from Australia, whom had led the field since day one on Friday. Chardon managed to beat Exell by more then four seconds in the exciting drive-off: he came to a final total score of 258,72.
Exell, hoping for a tenth Wold Cup victory, had to settle for second place, with his navigator Emma Olsson and Hugh Scott Barrett. Driving the horses Bajnok, Neapolitano Nimrod, Barny 68 and Rocket 123 he settled on a score of 262,82.
Bronze went to Belgian Glenn Geerts and his team of Charlotte van Gorp and Rodrigo Verstraeten and the horses Birckhouse Billie, De Solist, Erdball and Zeron, finishing on a total of 323,73. Find the complete results here.
