Dirk’s Favourite: ‘Beating the Tokyo heat’

During these 2020 Olympics, our Belgian colleague Dirk Caremans keeps us up to date on all that’s happening in and around the Tokyo Equestrian Village, completing our news articles with his fantastic photographs. In addition, Dirk provides us with a daily update sharing his favourite photo of the day.

Dirk’s photo of today shows Belgian event rider Lara de Liedekerke-Meier and her Alpaga d’Arville beating the Tokyo heat in the equine cooling box, showing that one has thought of every way possible to make our favourite four-legged athletes feel as comfortable as possible. Ahead of the start of the three-day eventing coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the event riders got to inspect the dressage arena at the start of this week.
