Dirk’s Favourite: Bronze for Belgium

During these 2020 Olympics, our Belgian colleague Dirk Caremans keeps us up to date on all that’s happening in and around the Tokyo Equestrian Village, completing our news articles with his fantastic photographs. In addition, Dirk provides us with a daily update sharing his favourite photo of the day.

Dirk’s very last photo he shares with us is of the Belgium showjumping team and their bronze medals! Pieter Devos with Claire Z (v. Clearway), Jerome Guery with Qual Homme de Hus (v. Quidam de Revel), Gregory Wathelet with Nevados S (v. Calvados Z) won the team bronze after the thrilling finale on August 7th, were Sweden took gold and team USA grabbed silver. It’s the first medal for the Belgian showjumping team since winning bronze in Montreal in 1976.
